From the very beginning I had all of the Dinobots to scale in regards to each other, as well as keeping
a reference to a human who's not quite six feet tall. So here they are all together, and a bonus Spike for size reference.

And I'm going to have to find somewhere else other than photobucket to upload my art. This is the largest they'll allow me for this. >:C It's really aggravating as this looks much better full size.

(now what to draw for tomorrow)

Of course, there's no need to choose the species of Tyrannosaurus since everyone is goddamn obsessed with the rex. It's a sweet animal, yes. It just gets old when it's the only one everyone seems to talk about when the topic of dinosaurs crops up.

On a positive note, the Animal Accurate Dinobot set is finally finished!

Chose Triceratops horridus of the two accepted species of the genus, as it's the larger of the pair and has more reference material available for it.

The little spikes on his tail are there because there's been a growing theory that any of the ceratopcians may have had quills on their backs. Not just the little ones, such as psittacosaurus.

As there's only one species of Elasmosaurus that's seen as valid, there were no options other than platyurus to choose from. Considering I'm crazy over prehistoric marine reptiles about as much as I am about dinosaurs, I had fun designing this one.

Now tell me, how many of you thought Paddles would be on this list?

Now canon only ever identified him to the Pteranodon genus, but thanks to his head crest, he’s identifiable as belonging to the longiceps sp. As each Pteranodon species has a different shape to their crest, and only the longiceps has that distinct elongated curve of bone.

(his color scheme looks off, may change it later)

Sludge under the cut because of size )

Again since they only chose the genus for Sludge, I got to choose the species. A. louisae is the largest of the Apatosaurs, which though big, still doesn't make him as large as he was in canon. And while Apatosaurus hasn't been found with dorsal spikes, it's cousin the Diplodocus has. (plus, yanno, Wheeljack had a hand in making them)

Why I don't say Brontosaurus, is that it's a dinosaur that doesn't exist. Rather it could, but it would require Frankensteining the head and a few other body parts from a Camarasaurus onto the body of an Apatosaurus. As what happen with the fossils when the animal was first discovered over a hundred years ago.

Specifically went with the Stegosaurus armatus as they didn't give anything more than a genus for him in canon. And used a combination of his paintjobs from a couple different universes to give him a unique look to go with a new body type. The outdated view of the cumbersome taildragger for the Dinobots always got to me, so doing this satisfies that itch I get whenever I see inaccurate dinosaurs in popular media.

If you like the Dinobots, than you're going to enjoy the next five days. As I plan on doing the rest of them in the same style as I've done here. Though after that, I have no idea as to what to draw next. So I'm taking suggestions now. As always for this new year's res, no promises that any suggestion will be used but if there's nothing else I can think of to draw and I like your idea, it'll happen. Feel free to toss up a number of things you'd like to see done, the more I can pick from the better the chances of something you want drawn will be done.

Alright you peeps. Here's what you can do.

Give me a character or critter, be it from a canon or fanon (this is me subtly asking you to poke some of my characters if you please, but feel free to ask for others) source, along with a small prompt and I'll sketch it. I'm also willing to listen to bits from peoples fanfiction or even a bunny farm hopper you wish to see, but I don't know how well that would work for a sketch challenge thingy. The whole thing is to help me not become hung up on my perfectionist tendencies as much, and to get over an annoying art block. You guys just get some (hopefully) nifty art as well. This is not limited to just transformers but if I don't know the fandom, sorry no luck.

Annnnd.... go!

EDIT: ATTENTION!! I'm putting this on a temporary hiatus for what will probably be a couple of days. Due to the fact that I've developed a fever and a nasty cough. (yay, sick again) Requests that are still up will be finished so no worries. And when I start this up again I'll probably just go with a new post seeing as this one has gotten quite full. :D

Another idea I tried to shove off on the farm, an effort that obviously didn't work. The Dinobots (or just one of them) turned into real dinosaurs, much like how I've seen Ravage turned into a real Panther. And seeing as the sauropods are among my favorites of all dinosaurs (which is so very hard to do as I love them all) Sludge was my victim of the day.

I totally bullshitted with those plants.

It's not much. But at least it's transformers.
